Kirumi!

This is a look that I tried to give a bit of an Asian twist. My Korean class and I went for dinner to celebrate finishing our Christmas assessments. The black lace dress is from TKMaxx and cuts in tight at the waist and a cheeky cut out in the front to show some cleavage because it's a very high-necked dress. I did my hair in the two buns to cutesy up the look (Koreans are all about being cutesy!). I finished off the outfit with some sleek black liquid eyeliner.

In the pink

So it was changed once again! I temporarily dyed my hair pink to liven it up during my university holidays. This is an outfit I wore for the cast party of a play I helped with.
I liked the idea of doing a really obvious contrast combination with the orange and the pink. I kept it simple with stone washed high-waist jeans and  a plain black bowler. I completed it with black doc martins.

Patriotic Party

So my readers may not know that when I amn't blogging away I study languages at university. I am planning to major in Russian and these are some shots from a party one of my classmates had where I themed my outfit around the colours of the Russian flag. Blue white and red. I used wash out tints in my fringe to add a little Russian flavour to my otherwise simple updo. The stripey maxi-dress is an old favourite because you can jazz it up with heels and a leather jacket, dress it down with a big jumper or keep it casual with just a hint of sass (it's a bit figure-hugging!) by teaming it with simple jewellery and a nice pair of converse.
The blue and the stripes kept the Russian theme alive and I embellished my make-up a little by sticking a red, a white and a blue crystal along the arch of one eyebrow. I finished off with some red jewellery and hoped my last bottle of extra strength bleach had left my hair white enough!

Dolled up

So here's a few more blonde shots for you all! It's been a while since I've been on so I have a backlog of looks to upload. This year has been crazy and I've been very unwell lately so it's been difficult to keep up with things!


This stunning bodycon dress is green velvet and is from American Apparel. Now AA is one of the more expensive shops that i even allow myself to browse and I spent probably two years desperately in love with this dress, which was always farrrrr to expensive for me to justify buying it!
However, a few months ago I went for a job casting in the Dublin store and all the interviewees were given a 15% discount just for interviewing. While the discount still made it one of the most expensive dresses I own I knew this was my one chance to take home my dream dress!


I styled her up with my fortune teller necklace from Camden Market and swept my hair into a side pony to keep it chic and simple. The colour is much more platinum so it worked quite nicely with the deep shade of the dress.
My usual catflick eye and dark lipstick and I was ready to party!

Time to party

Sometimes you gotta up the ante when you're hitting the town! The skirt I got for a steal in the sales last year and I liked the brightness to balance the new blonde! I love how it's long but the sheer and the high splits give it a sexiness and an edginess. I kept it simple with the black string top and blue low-heeled boots. I teamed it with blue brows and some new statement jewellery I got in a trip to Camden Market a few months ago. The hat kept me warm on my way to the club and gave it a Rita Ora - ish feel. I also turn the string straps into more of a halter by lacing them together at the back (give the chest and lift and makes your shoulders look a little broader). To fix the hair I scraped it into a tight french plait on one side to give the illusion of a shaved side, I also pinned the other side into a half up to keep the hair elegant without restricting the movement of it!

Patterns upon patterns

So this is my first outing with phase one of project blonde-you can see some of it still as a noticeably auburn hue. The shirt is new from TKMaxx and is wide cut and heavily patterned with flowers and mushrooms. I decided to overboard the colour with some old red leopard print jeans that I cut into pedal-pushers/three-quarter lengths. To keep the colour game strong I topped it off with a birthday gift from my dear friend (and highly appreciated blog follower) Sharon, who obviously knows me far to well! My friends have particularly appreciated the irony of the word 'NATURAL' emblazoned above my highly unnaturally coloured hair!

Blonde Ambition

So my bloggees I have made a rather drastic change. I am going undercover to see if blonde's really do have more fun.

I'm in the process of bleaching my hair to platinum white (known to other hair-dye addicts as murdering your hair).

For anyone trying this you want serious bleach, a toning shampoo and the strongest conditioner you can get. I won't make any recommendations as I am a poor, jobless student who just uses the cheapest option she can buy in bulk.

I also recommend to the brave folks out there to liven it with a coloured brow (the turquoise here just eyeliner pencil) because if you're used to colour like me you may take a while to get used to having a more traditional hair colour.
