So I have just about caught up on my backlog of things to upload but I must share an important change once more.
I am now blue (da ba dee da ba...).
This has posed quite a challenge for me as I have realised that a rather substantial proportion of my wardrobe is in this colour, meaning it has been challenging to avoid matching my hair and my outfit! It has also proved one of my more interesting temporary colours as it fades, some days being green, others, turquoise, others positively silvery!
It's looking much greener as we run up to Paddy's day which is very convenient altogether!
Decided to set up a fashion type blog basically to share my opinions on clothes and to show off fun ways to customise clothes and to catalogue some of the things I like to wear...

Violet!
One of my favourite quotes from the original Willy Wonka film is 'Violet, you're turning violet Violet!' and I am indeed!
Barely had a washed the pink from my hair than I went for a violet tint!
It is particularly challenging to master a subtle tint if, like me, you dye your hair at home. The dye I used I had tested as a thin layer when I did my pink. This one is a temporary colour that comes in at more of a violet than a purple which saves you a lot of work and worry trying to not leave a purple in for too long!
These shots were from a night out in the Workman's club (one of the very hippest of local venues). The coloured jacket is particularly dear to my heart and I will be making a separate post to extol it's virtues at a later date!

A belated merry Christmas!
As I said I am working through a bit of a backlog!
I hope all my fashion friends took a break from their usual looks to revel in the uniquely spectacular tackyness of the Christmas jumper!
I got to go to a lovely Christmas party with my friend and her housemates where we all rocked our Christmassy best. My jumper I have had for a few years and I roll it out every year for the festive season. I don't believ in subtlety when it comes to Christmas attirre-go hard or go home! Hence it has an absolutely enormous Rudolph on it!
Once again I had to be a bit brave with the clashing look because my hair is still pink! Luckily the house was pretty toasty, especially as I was helping out with making the mulled wine, so I got to showcase my lovely velvet bodycon, which is a nice festive green too.
(Though it being me, the three colours weren't enough, I had to team with bright blue tights as well!)

Kirumi!
In the pink
So it was changed once again! I temporarily dyed my hair pink to liven it up during my university holidays. This is an outfit I wore for the cast party of a play I helped with.
I liked the idea of doing a really obvious contrast combination with the orange and the pink. I kept it simple with stone washed high-waist jeans and a plain black bowler. I completed it with black doc martins.

Patriotic Party
So my readers may not know that when I amn't blogging away I study languages at university. I am planning to major in Russian and these are some shots from a party one of my classmates had where I themed my outfit around the colours of the Russian flag. Blue white and red. I used wash out tints in my fringe to add a little Russian flavour to my otherwise simple updo. The stripey maxi-dress is an old favourite because you can jazz it up with heels and a leather jacket, dress it down with a big jumper or keep it casual with just a hint of sass (it's a bit figure-hugging!) by teaming it with simple jewellery and a nice pair of converse.
The blue and the stripes kept the Russian theme alive and I embellished my make-up a little by sticking a red, a white and a blue crystal along the arch of one eyebrow. I finished off with some red jewellery and hoped my last bottle of extra strength bleach had left my hair white enough!
A lovely shot from the party xL
Dolled up
So here's a few more blonde shots for you all! It's been a while since I've been on so I have a backlog of looks to upload. This year has been crazy and I've been very unwell lately so it's been difficult to keep up with things!
This stunning bodycon dress is green velvet and is from American Apparel. Now AA is one of the more expensive shops that i even allow myself to browse and I spent probably two years desperately in love with this dress, which was always farrrrr to expensive for me to justify buying it!
However, a few months ago I went for a job casting in the Dublin store and all the interviewees were given a 15% discount just for interviewing. While the discount still made it one of the most expensive dresses I own I knew this was my one chance to take home my dream dress!
I styled her up with my fortune teller necklace from Camden Market and swept my hair into a side pony to keep it chic and simple. The colour is much more platinum so it worked quite nicely with the deep shade of the dress.
My usual catflick eye and dark lipstick and I was ready to party!
